What to Expect on Your First Visit

New Patient Information: When you arrive, we will ask you to fill out a few new patient forms, if you have not already completed them, and also for your Driver’s License and insurance information.

X-Rays: Our helpful, bilingual staff will take x-rays to give Dr. Giraldo a comprehensive view of the health of your mouth. We use digital x-rays, which lessen exposure to radiation and eliminate the time spent waiting for film to develop.

Teeth Cleaning: You may have scheduled a cleaning for your first visit. Our hygienist will clean and polish your teeth, removing plaque and tartar deposits that contribute to decay and unhealthy gum tissues.

Consultation and Examination: You will meet with our cosmetic dentist to discuss any concerns you have about your smile. Dr. Giraldo will review your medical and dental history and evaluate your oral health. This includes a thorough examination of your teeth and gums. If any issues exist, Dr. Giraldo will explain your treatment options in detail and help you to determine which path is right for your unique needs. Cosmetic dentistry goals may also be discussed at this time, if you are unhappy with the appearance of your smile. Otherwise, a preventative dentistry schedule will be developed for you, consisting of routine cleanings and examinations to maintain oral health.
